JANUARY 2007
Bremerton High School Juried Show
Start the New Year off with the refreshing and youthful work by students from Steve Priest's art class at Bremerton High School. For most of the participating artists in this unique show, it is their first time both being juried and showing in a gallery. This will be a fun and exciting show for all to see.

FEBRUARY 2007
Love is Art is Love
What happens when loving couples are also artists?
Visit the Wesley Art Gallery in February to see individual and collaborative works from noted area art couples; Jessica McCourt & Derek Nobbs, Wendy & Steve Priest, Mary Doyle & Bub Pratt, Joanie and Justin Pierson, Laurie & Kevin Sharp, Robin & David Mercer and Elizabeth Theriault & Don Wesley.

MARCH 2007
Year Four: Memorial for Our Fallen
It was four years ago that U.S. and Allied forces entered into Iraq with hopes to establish an appropriate government there. The price we have been paying for this endeavor is the most extreme of all, brave young lives. Join Don Wesley as he presents the entire series of his memorial canvases depicting a bird for each U.S. soldier who has died in Iraq. There are now four canvases in all, the latest still in progress. For more information about this series of paintings visit Don's studio website at www.donwesley.com. There will also be new paintings from Don's ongoing series on Starlings and Us.

APRIL 2007
Sprung!
We have a great show for you in April as we share new works from our gallery and affiliated artist's studios. Spring is a time of growth. For artists it's a time of the year where new ideas thought out through the winter months are now coming to life in paint, clay, glass, metal and more. Enjoy fresh work and perspectives and get Sprung for art!

MAY 2007
Ten Days in Tuscany
Judy Anderson presents watercolor paintings and printmaking based on her recent visit to Florence and central Italy’s Tuscany region. Anderson's paintings, mixed media prints and etchings are all rich in color, uniquely descriptive and positively inviting. By thoroughly exploring the character and nature of her subjects, Judy lures us into her narratives with a seductive innocence.

JUNE 2007
Aviamericanos!
This month we feature the work of gallery owner Don Wesley. Wesley depicts birds as stand-ins for contemporary Americans. His latest work juxtaposes introduced species of birds and elements of contemporary Americana.

JULY 2007
River Roots
Paulette Mentor (Widow of Former Bremerton Mayor Louis Mentor) will be exhibiting paintings from her Paducah, Kentucky studio. Mentor's paintings represent her zest for life. Her work is comprised of blasts of color that shuttle between translucency and opacity, waving and weaving, in constant motion, yet remaining frozen in time. It’s painting in its purest form; invigorating and rewarding.

AUGUST 2007
The Wizened Art Ladies of Bremerton
In August, painter Gwendolyn Atwood shares a unique show of the founding women of Bremerton's art scene. Atwood will paint portraits of each artist. Then each of those artists will choose a piece of their own art to hang along side their Atwood portrait. How cool is that? You won't want to miss Atwood's transformation of the gallery space nor her insight and testament to the founding sisters of Bremerton's art scene.

Artists to be depicted are Augusta Asberry, Gwendolyn Atwood, Dede Beckley, Amy Burnett, Janthina DuSavage, Jean Freeburg, Rose Smith, Bernice Walsh, Hazel Witte, and Jenny Zurbrugg.

SEPTEMBER 2007
Bicycles and Little Engines that Can
Group Show: In conjunction with Bremerton's annual Blackberry Festival and the Blackberry Criterium Bicycle Race, we will be showing art about bikes, scooters, odd-ball wheeled objects and their ilk.

Gallery artists are joined by Jeremy Gordaneer (jeremygordaneer.com - Montreal), Andre' Knaebel (thescooterchronicles.com - Portland), and Kryztof Nemeth (charm-school.com - Port Orchard) who share their works in oil, graphite and ink; Gordaneer a master at abstracting the essence of the luscious junctions, welds and connections of classic steel framed bicycles; Knaebel documenting with grahite and inks the essential details of a real life on scooters, and finally; Nemeth brings his expertly inked pin-up works that celebrate the sexy side of little engines that can.

NOVEMBER 2007
Group Show / Re-Opening
Gallery director Don Wesley will be sharing recent works and a look at pieces in progress from his new studio on Chico Bay. There will also be select pieces from the gallery collection on view and available for purchase. The gallery is in the process of re-formatting for next year's exhibition season. Our goal is to bring you a season of shows like no other. Please stay tuned for more details as things develop over the next 2 months. In the meantime, don't be a stranger on First Friday ; )
