APRIL 2007 SPRUNG! We have a great show for you in April as we share new works from our artist's studios. Spring is a time of growth. For artists it's a time of the year where new ideas thought out through the winter months are now coming to life in paint, clay, glass, metal and more. Enjoy fresh work and perspectives and get Sprung for art! SHOW OPENS: Friday, April 6, 11am-11pm MEET THE ARTISTS: 6pm-9pm COUNTING SERIES MOVES TO MAX HALE The four paintings from Don Wesley's Soldier Memorial series will be on display at the Max Hale Center on the corner of Pacific Avenue and Fifth Street in Downtown Bremerton, across the street from Cornerstone Coffee and Dimension 4. The newly completed fourth year painting, Tough Counting, is being shown in a public space for the first time. Please, if you get a chance, go spend a little time with the paintings and give a few moments for those young people. It's a good use of some time. NOW IN THE W.A.G. COLLECTION Each month we try to purchase at least one work of art from an exhibiting artist. However, this past month, I was the exhibiting artist and I donated my acrylic painting "No Fly Zone" to the collection. In addition we commissioned Laurie Sharp to create a series of Woolpet birds, including: Hummingbird, House Sparrow, Chickadee, Red-breasted Nuthatch, and Dark-eyed Junco. And we recently purchased a beautiful Ken Van der Does painting of the Manette bridge, painted from his former studio in the Sinclair Building. It's a historical painting and excellent painting all in one. THANK YOU TO OUR NEW COLLECTORS We would like to sincerely thank our newest and continuing collectors for their support...
