'Sniper' Interrupts First Friday
During First Friday a 'sniper' was firing plastic BB's out of his apartment window at the gallery patrons who were standing outside the gallery.

Read the story in the Kitsap Sun

Due to this interruption the evening lost its momentum and I would like to appologize for any inconvenience this has caused our patrons. If you were also struck by a projectile that night or feel you have supportive information for the matter please contact the Bremerton Police Department at 360-473-5218.

Bicycles and Little Engines That Can
In conjunction with Bremerton's annual Blackberry Festival and the Blackberry Criterium Bicycle Race, we will be showing art about bikes, scooters, odd-ball wheeled objects and their ilk.

Gallery artists will be joined by Jeremy Gordaneer (jeremygordaneer.com - Montreal), André Knaebel (thescooterchronicles.com - Portland), and Kryztof Nemeth (charm-school.com - Port Orchard) who share their works in oil, graphite and ink; Gordaneer a master at abstracting the essence of the luscious junctions, welds and connections of classic steel framed bicycles; Knaebel documenting with grahite and inks the essential details of a real life on scooters, and finally; Nemeth brings his expertly inked pin-up works that celebrate the sexy side of little engines that can.

SHOW OPENS: Friday, Sep 7, 12-10pm
ARTIST'S RECEPTION: Friday, Sep 7, 5-9pm

Giant Blackberries... Yum!
Blackberry Criterium race director Joe Holmes has commissioned Elizabeth Theriault to design and create the awards for this year's men's and women's pro bicycle races. The races, which take place in Downtown Bremerton on Sunday September 2 from 11am to 6pm, are a part of our annual Blackberry Festival. For the race awards, Theriault created two giant and seemingly edible blackberries out of clay. Take a look at the picture on the left to see how they turned out.
